Bela Crkva and its lakes
A small town right on the Romanian border, known for its lakes, greenery and the summer Flower Carnival. Vila Marija is here too, between the City Lake and Vračev Gaj Lake.
Where Bela Crkva is
In south-east Banat, near the Danube and the Romanian border
Bela Crkva lies in the South Banat district, close to the Nera river and the Danube. The Romanian border runs along the edge of town, so Timișoara is close enough for a day trip.
The town is surrounded by lakes that formed in old gravel pits. People come in summer to swim and fish, and off-season for the quiet, walks by the water and training camps.

The Bela Crkva lakes
Swimming, fishing and walks by the water
The City Lake is closest to the centre and the busiest in summer, with maintained beaches. Vračev Gaj Lake is quieter and popular with anglers. From Vila Marija you can walk to both, with no car and no hunting for parking.
For guests looking for a place to stay in Bela Crkva near the water, that is the best thing about the location: mornings on the terrace, days at the lake, evenings in the villa yard.
